Vellum converts a PDF document into a Word file (.docx) you can edit straight away in Word, LibreOffice or Pages. The tool takes the text of the document and infers a structure from it — heading levels read from font size, paragraphs recomposed, bold and italic preserved — then separates each PDF page with a page break. This is an export of the content, not a copy of the layout: columns, tables, images and exact positioning are not reproduced. The conversion is computed by your browser, and the file is never uploaded or stored.

No, this tool only converts from PDF to Word, in that direction. To get a PDF from a Word document, print it to PDF from within Word or LibreOffice.
