Terms and Conditions

Version dated August 10, 2026. These terms govern the use of vellumpdf.ch and the subscription to the annual VellumPDF Cabinet license; they are governed by Swiss law.

Section 1

Contracting party

Any contract concluded on this site is entered into with the following publisher (the “publisher”).

Company name
DOGBE MULTISYSTEM
Legal form
Sole proprietorship
Owner
Edem Dogbe
Address
Route de Veyrier 46, 1227 Carouge, Switzerland

Section 2

Purpose and scope

The site vellumpdf.ch provides PDF tools that run entirely in the user’s browser, together with a paid offer for organizations: the annual “VellumPDF Cabinet” license.

These terms apply both to the free use of the tools and to the subscription of the license. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

Section 3

Free tools

All tools are free, unlimited, and require no account. Processing happens on your device: no file is transmitted to the publisher or to any server.

Free use creates no entitlement to the availability or continued existence of any given tool: the publisher may change the suite over time. You remain responsible for using the tools in compliance with the law and the rights of third parties.

Section 4

What the VellumPDF Cabinet license includes

The VellumPDF Cabinet license is an annual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, reserved for the internal needs of the subscribing organization. It unlocks no feature — every tool is already open. It includes:

  • a written confirmation of local processing, issued and signed by the publisher in the organization name provided at checkout, for your Swiss FADP / GDPR register;
  • a version installable on your internal network, with no internet access required;
  • the customization of the tool with your colors and your logo;
  • written support, with a reply within one business day;
  • updates and new tools for the full term of the license.

The content of the license is identical at every tier; only the size of your organization determines the price.

Section 5

Formation of the contract

Subscription takes place online, from the Pricing page, on a payment page hosted by Stripe. The contract is formed when Stripe confirms the payment; the invoice is then sent to you by email.

The organization name entered at checkout is used to issue the confirmation; please make sure it is accurate.

Section 6

Prices and payment

Prices are in Swiss francs, per year, across three tiers based on the size of the organization. The applicable price is the one displayed on the Pricing page at the time of the order.

Payment is collected through pages hosted by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland). The publisher never sees or stores the card number. For the Cabinet license, Stripe acts as the seller: it adds Swiss VAT of 8.1% at checkout and remits it. The publisher itself is not liable for VAT and therefore invoices no VAT on its own account.

Section 7

Term, renewal and cancellation

The license is concluded for one year from the payment confirmation. The subscription then renews automatically for successive one-year periods, on the terms agreed at subscription.

You may cancel at any time, free of charge and without giving reasons, by a simple written message to contact@vellumpdf.ch, at the latest before the annual renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current year, which remains due; no pro-rata refund is made.

Any price change is announced in writing before the renewal date and applies only from the following renewal; until then, you remain free to cancel. The publisher may likewise decline to renew by informing you in writing before the renewal date.

Section 8

Delivery

Access and documents are delivered electronically: the confirmation and the invoice by email, the installable version in electronic form. No physical shipment is provided.

Section 9

Right of withdrawal

Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for a purchase of this kind concluded at a distance. The order therefore becomes binding upon payment confirmation.

That legal framework does not stop you from asking any question before subscribing — we answer in writing. And cancellation before each annual renewal date remains possible at any time, free of charge.

Section 10

Warranty and liability

The publisher provides the tools and the license services with due care. Processing, however, happens on your own device: the publisher has no access to your files and can neither view nor restore them. We recommend keeping a copy of your original files before any processing.

The publisher’s liability is limited, for all claims combined, to the amount paid for the annual license. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intent, nor where Swiss law does not allow liability to be limited.

Section 11

Intellectual property

The source code, the name “VellumPDF,” and the visual identity of the site remain the property of the publisher. The license grants a right of use, not a transfer of ownership. Certain tools rely on open-source libraries — pdf-lib, pdf.js, qpdf, and Tesseract — each governed by its own license.

Your documents are yours: the publisher acquires no rights over the files you process with the tools.

Section 12

Data protection

Processed documents never leave your browser; the publisher does not see them. Data related to payment is processed by Stripe. Details are set out on the Privacy page.

Section 13

Changes to these terms

The publisher may update these terms; the current, dated version is published on this page. The version applicable to an order is the one in force at the time of the order; a new version applies to a running license no earlier than the next renewal — until then, you may cancel.

Section 14

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Geneva, subject to any mandatory forums provided for by Swiss law.
